Our project was presented at this year’s Security, Democracy & Cities Conference!

 

Description

Mattias De Backer (VUB)  coordinator of GATHERINGS, presented the project at the International Security, Democracy & Cities Conference, organised by European Forum for Urban Security (EFUS).

Organised every three years, this year in partnership with safe.brussels, the international conference on Security, Democracy & Cities brought together over 100 speakers and 800 participants from 150 cities and regions across Europe and the world.

It offered a unique opportunity to take part in round tables, workshops, meetings and field visits to promote exchanges and mutual learning in the field of urban safety and crime prevention.

The 8th edition of the Conference took place in Brussels, Belgium, on 20, 21 and 22 March 2024. GATHERINGS was presented at one of the Conference’s Pitch Sessions taking place on the first day, providing an overview of the project and its main goals throughout the next 3 years.
